In 1704 Andre Guy , a French refugee and his wife lived next to the PREDIGERKIRCHE church in Zurich, Switzerland. Later three of the children of his son Andre Casper Guy were baptised in this church. Johan Conrad Guy (Gie), son of Andre Casper Guy, arrived in the Cape on the ship "Rosenburg" on the 23rd January 1751
